Your State Coordinators

YSN State Coordinator

Hello! Welcome to the KYYSN website. I'm your State Representative for the Young Surveyors Network. I graduated with a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Kentucky in 2019, and from Kentucky Wesleyan College in 2015 with a degree in Physics. I started working at QK4 in 2018 as a intern. I worked through my summers until my graduation when I started full time. Since I have started, I have become a licensed professional Land Surveyor and gained my Engineer in Training license. I am our Lidar Scanning Specialist for Qk4. One of my favorite parts of my job is that I get to spend a lot of time working on very unique job sites and with a lot of cool equipment. Needless to say, I love my job and this profession. I want to help show what a fun and exciting job surveying is and just how rewarding it can be. Surveying has become a huge part of my life and its something I want to show others. It is my goal to help bring in the next generation of surveyors to our great profession.

YSN Associate Coordinator

Hello and welcome! My name is Ethan Carr, I am a senior at Glenville State College located in Glenville, West Virginia. I graduated with an Associate of Science in Land Surveying Technology in may of 2019 and plan to graduate with a Bachelors of Science in Natural Resource Management with a concentration in Land Surveying Technology in May of 2021. I have interned for QK4 Engineering for the past 2 years and plan to start with them full time once I graduate.  I passed my Fundamentals of Surveying in December. I gained an interest in Land Surveying because I grew up around with helping out my dad. I really enjoy the mix of field and office work, it is something new and exciting every day. I want to help the next generation experience the amazing profession of land surveying, and that it is not as hard to get into as they might think.
